This uniquely Danish high wing-back chair is absolutely Mid Century Modern in design. Created in 1951, it has become the most sought after Hans J. Wegner upholstered chair. Initially called the “AP-19” It quickly received its lasting name, Papa Bear & Teddy Bear Chair. This gift came from a critic who referred to its armrests as, “Great bear paws embracing you from behind.”
